The Greenland Police has established two cases of drink driving in the past 24 hours. The cases are not related to each other.
The first episode occurred in connection with a traffic accident that occurred in the Nuuk district of Nuussuaq on Saturday afternoon. The police received the report at 4:31 p.m. Here a man in his twenties had driven the wrong way.
– A driver with a passenger drove the wrong way down a slope. The driver has been charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, says chief of duty Aqqalu Petersen to Sermitsiaq.
Another incident also involves alcohol. On the night of Sunday, a man drove the wrong way in Aqqusinersuaq in the center of Nuuk. It happened at 03:46. He is also charged with drink-driving, says the warden.
