South Korea’s exports of information and communications technology products recorded the highest monthly figure ever last May, driven by demand for semiconductors and other products related to the artificial intelligence system.
According to the Omani Agency, on Sunday, the value of ICT exports reached 47.79 billion US dollars last month, an increase of 128.9% compared to the same month last year, according to data issued by the Korean Ministry of Science, Information Technology and Communications.
The Ministry reported that this is the first time that monthly ICT exports have exceeded the $40 billion barrier for 3 consecutive months.
