In Bani Matar District in Sana’a Governorate, the process of disbursing the ninth batch of support materials allocated to complete community initiative projects in the western sector districts of Sana’a Governorate was launched.
The ninth batch includes 2,400 bags of cement and 33,000 liters of diesel, within the framework of joint cooperation between the Central Emergency Development Interventions Unit and agricultural cooperative societies, and in coordination with the local authority in the governorate.
During the inauguration, the governorate’s advisor, Engineer Abdul Rahman Al-Murtada, praised the effective role of cooperative societies as an essential partner for the local authority in implementing service projects.
He stressed that this support comes as a translation of the directives of the governorate’s leadership in supporting self-initiatives, stressing the need to exploit it to implement development initiatives in accordance with the approved technical plans to ensure their sustainability.
For his part, the director of community initiatives in the governorate, Engineer Muhammad Al-Nazari, explained that disbursing this amount represents a strong impetus to complete stalled projects in the road and water sectors, pointing out that close coordination with cooperative societies enhances the chances of success of community initiatives that reflect society’s awareness of the importance of self-reliance.
In turn, the representative of the intervention unit in the governorate, Engineer Osama Al-Shami, praised the efforts of the proactive community that mobilized energies through cooperative societies, stressing the continuation of field supervision to ensure that support materials are employed optimally and directly at the work sites.
He pointed out that the inauguration came in coordination with the Agricultural Cooperative Union and the associations of Bani Matar, Al-Hayma Al-Dakhiliyah, Anz and Manakh to enhance the steadfastness of the local community in implementing priority service initiatives.
While the directors of the Bani Matar Directorate, Yahya Al-Qanous, and the external district, Khaled Al-Arashi, expressed their appreciation to the governorate leadership and the Ministry of Local Administration for these interventions that touch the needs of citizens in rural areas.
For his part, the director of the Agricultural Cooperative Union in the governorate, Ali Ezzi, stressed the importance of this step, which requires everyone to commit to harnessing all available capabilities and resources to complete field projects in accordance with the required specifications, which contributes to promoting local development and alleviating the burdens on citizens.
The inauguration was attended by the Mobilization Officer in the Interior District, Mukhtar Al-Siyaghi, the Director of Initiatives in the Manakhah District, Muhammad Al-Judawi, the Educational Sector Officer in the Bani Matar District, Muhammad Al-Faqih, the Secretary-General of the Western Sector Association, Ahmed Al-Faqih, and the heads of the Anz Rizq Mansour and Interior District Associations, Muhammad Al-Quqa’a.
