In the Dubrovnik restaurant Edina Džeka “pepper prices”, a piece of meat costs around 400 KM

While Edin Džeko leads the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team at the World Cup, his business venture in Dubrovnik is once again the topic of the Croatian media. This time, the reason is not the famous guests or the luxurious ambience, but the prices, which many describe as “peppery”.

In recent days, the Croatian media have been writing about the price list of the EZZA Steak & Cocktail Bar restaurant, in which some steaks cost up to 189.90 euros, while guests spend up to 26 euros for cocktails.

One of the most famous gastronomic addresses in Dubrovnik

Located in the immediate vicinity of the Dubrovnik walls and the entrance through Ploče, EZZA Steak & Cocktail Bar has in a short period of time become one of the most prestigious places for lovers of fine dining in Dubrovnik.

According to the available information, the restaurant was designed by Edin Džeko and his business partner Armin Hadžić, with the idea of combining a top steakhouse, a modern cocktail bar and a luxurious environment intended primarily for tourists with higher paying power.

Since its opening, the restaurant has built a reputation as an exclusive gastronomic destination that is often visited by athletes, business people, influencers and foreign tourists.

Premium meat from around the world

The restaurant’s offer is based on premium cuts of meat from Australia, Argentina, Japan and Scotland. The menu includes ribeye, tomahawk, T-bone and Wagyu steaks, with carefully designed side dishes and sauces.

A special part of the offer consists of original cocktails, which, apart from their taste, also attract attention with their attractive appearance, so the restaurant has become very popular on social networks as well.

The price list caused the most reactions

Although guests mostly praise the quality of food, service and ambience, it is the prices that have been talked about the most in recent days.

According to the price list reported by the Croatian media, the most expensive piece of meat costs 189.90 euros.

For Ribeye Australia of 300 grams, you need to allocate 110 euros, while Wagyu Ramstek Australia costs as much as 169 euros per portion.

Burger lovers have to pay 30 euros for a burger with black truffles.

The cocktails aren’t much cheaper either. The so-called “signature” cocktails cost 26 euros, while classic cocktails can be ordered for around 20 euros.

    Luxury gastronomy or exorbitant prices?

Given that Dubrovnik has been considered one of the most expensive tourist destinations on the Adriatic for years, such prices do not surprise some of the public. However, many believe that the amounts on the menu are an additional indicator that the offer is increasingly adapted to guests with deeper pockets.

While some point out that the top quality of the ingredients, the exclusive location and the overall experience justify the high prices, others believe that these are amounts that average guests can hardly afford.

Regardless of the different opinions, one thing is certain – the Edina Džeka restaurant continues to attract attention, both for its luxurious gastronomic offer and for its much-talked-about price list.
