Martyr Al-Hafiz, July 1, 2026 (SPS) – A delegation from the Economic Partnership for Africa’s Development (NEPD) reviewed the Sahrawi experience in institutional building, through a review visit that led it to a number of national institutions.
After the delegation, led by a visit to the Sahrawi Republic, was briefed on the Sahrawi experience in the field of public health and the services provided by the Polisario Front and the Sahrawi State to citizens, despite the scarcity of capabilities and the reality of asylum.
The delegation was also received at the headquarters of Tafariti University by the Minister of Education and Vocational Training, member of the National Secretariat, Abdelkader Talib Omar, who welcomed Wafa and gave a detailed presentation on the pioneering Sahrawi experience in the field of education.
The delegation also received comprehensive explanations about Tafariti University, which included the circumstances of its founding, its academic mission, its partnerships with international institutions and bodies, and the important role it plays in introducing the national issue.
He also listened to a presentation about the most prominent achievements achieved by the university, the challenges it faces, and the prospects for its work.
At the Ministry of Transport and Energy, the delegation was received by Minister Salek Mohamed Embarak, who gave a presentation on the ministry, its structure and the programs assigned to it, reviewing the most prominent tasks it undertakes in serving citizens and enhancing the basic necessities of life, foremost of which is providing free transportation services for individuals and equipment, and providing electric energy, gas and fuel, in addition to various services related to the sector.
The delegation was also received by the Minister of Water and Environment, Ahmed Bishr Ami Ammar, where the meeting discussed a number of topics related to the water and environment sector, and the challenges facing the African continent in the areas of adaptation to climate change, valuing water resources, and protecting ecosystems, in addition to the importance of strengthening African partnerships to confront various development challenges.
On this occasion, the Minister of Water and Environment stressed the importance of joint work between African countries and continental institutions in order to support projects aimed at achieving water security and protecting the environment, stressing the involvement of the Sahrawi Republic in African efforts aimed at achieving sustainable development and serving the peoples of the continent.
For its part, the NEPAD delegation expressed its interest in strengthening cooperation with African countries and supporting initiatives that contribute to achieving continental development goals, especially in the vital sectors related to water and the environment (SAS).
