
Palikir, Pohnpei — June 26, 2026 — His Excellency President Wesley W. Simina met with Kosrae Governor, the Honorable Tulensa W. Palik, and members of the Kosrae delegation to discuss preparations for KAMORALE Expo 2026 and review key development priorities for the State of Kosrae.
The Governor raised the need for transportation support to facilitate the shipment of presentation materials, event props, and other equipment, as well as the travel of participants for the Expo. In response, President Simina affirmed that the Office of the President will work closely with the Department of Transportation, Communications and Infrastructure (TC&I) to coordinate appropriate transportation arrangements and keep the Kosrae State Government informed as planning progresses.
The Governor also briefed the President on the status of the Kosrae Hospital project and the Police Academy and provided updates on the state’s food security efforts, including the expansion of livestock production and crop cultivation. The Kosrae delegation expressed its appreciation to the Department of Resources and Development (R&D) for its continued collaboration in advancing these efforts. President Simina commended Kosrae’s commitment to strengthening food security and building greater resilience through sustainable agricultural development.
The meeting reaffirmed the strong partnership between the National Government and the State of Kosrae and their shared commitment to advancing development priorities and improving the well-being of the people of Kosrae.
