A dismembered and burned body was found on the bank of the Elok River in the village of Sarichashma, Fayzabad district of Tajikistan. As a result of operational search activities, the identity of the murdered man was established – this is 43-year-old Nasim Radzhabmatov, a resident of the Farkhor district, who has been listed as missing since December 31, 2025, reports the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.
An acquaintance of his, 33-year-old resident of Rogun Nurandesh Sharifzoda, was detained on suspicion of committing murder with particular cruelty.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs, citing the testimony of Sharifzoda, reports that on December 31, 2025, the murdered and the suspect were intoxicated and a conflict arose between them, as a result of which Radzhabmatov was killed (how is not reported).
“In order to conceal the crime, the suspect, using an ax and a hacksaw, dismembered the body, buried part of it in the basement of a rented house, and took the other in a bag to the bank of the Elok River, where he burned it and buried it,” the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports.
How the investigation found the body and how Sharifzoda was traced – the message does not say, it only notes that a criminal case was opened under Article 104 (“Murder”) of the Criminal Code of the Republic.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs also reports that the suspect Nurandesh Sharifzoda was previously sentenced to 15 years in prison for theft and hooliganism.
