In July, the weather in the republic is predicted to be within the limits of the climatic norm, but the amount of precipitation is expected to exceed the norm. “Armenpress”At the press conference held in the press hall of the RA Ministry of Environment, Deputy Director of “HayHydromet” SNOC Gagik Surenyan informed that July will not be too hot, but with sufficient rainfall.
“Usually in July, the air temperature during daytime in the mountainous regions of the republic will be +24-+28 degrees, in the foothills – +30-+32 degrees, in the valley zones +32-+35 degrees.
Individual days are not excluded, especially in the 3rd ten days of July, when the air temperature in the valley zones will vary between +38-+40 degrees,” said Gagik Surenyan.
Referring to the recent large-scale hailstorms in Shirak, Lori, and Tavush marzes, and the information spread in a number of media that such hailstorms do not occur in the republic, climate weapons were used, Gagik Surenyan noted that there have been such incidents in the past 5-6 years, which are due to the change in atmospheric circulation.
“Starting from June, warm tropical air currents begin to prevail in Armenia, but in recent years we have had a circulation in the direction of the meridian. This means that the wave of warm air entering from the south can immediately be interrupted by the cold air currents entering from the north. As a result of their collision, atmospheric fronts are formed. Upstream currents are added to them, which leads to the formation of super-powerful clouds, which in turn leads to large-scale hail,” said Gagik Surenyan.
Gagik Surenyan also noticed that in the last 5-6 years, tornado cases have become frequent in Armenia, which are not typical for our country.
