The Board of Directors of the University of Montenegro (UCG) appointed today prof. Dr. Dijana Vučković for the new dean of the Faculty of Philosophy of the UCG for the mandate period 2026-2029. year, it was announced from UCG.
The announcement adds that at the same session, prof. Tatijana Dlabač, Ph.D., was appointed dean of the Kotor Maritime Faculty for the second three-year term.
“At the session of the Board of Directors, held in Bijelo Polje, chaired by Prof. Dr. Milivoje Radović, Prof. Dr. Vučković was elected on the proposal of the Council of the Faculty of Philosophy of UCG, with the positive opinion of the rector of UCG Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović, taking into account her bio-bibliographic references and the submitted Development Program of the Faculty of Philosophy,” the statement published on the UCG website points out.
From that educational institution, they said that Vučković is currently performing the function of vice dean for teaching at the Faculty of Philosophy, and that she will be succeeded as dean by prof. Dr. Tatjana Novović, whose mandate is expiring.
“Prof. Dr. Vučković is a full-time professor at the Faculty of Philosophy of the UCG, the current vice-dean for teaching and a distinguished scientist in the field of teaching methodology, with extensive experience in teaching, scientific research and managerial work. She has published more than 80 scientific and professional papers, participated in numerous conferences and in more than 20 national and international projects, including Erasmus and IPA projects. She has been recognized by the University of Montenegro for her contribution to the development of scientific research and international positioning of UCG for 2020,” the announcement reads.
UCG said that Dlabač was appointed dean of the Kotor Maritime Faculty for the second term, for the period 2026-2029. year, at the proposal of the Faculty Council, which unanimously supported her candidacy and the Development Program, with the prior positive opinion of the rector of UCG.
“Her program envisages further improvement of the teaching process, development of scientific research activities, strengthening of international cooperation and modernization of the Faculty’s resources,” said UCG.
The statement adds that as prof. Dr. Edin Jašarović, dean of the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, the mandate expires on July 21, 2026, and in the procedures for the selection of a new dean, there were no registered candidates.
“In addition to personnel issues, the Board of Directors of the University of Montenegro considered other topics of importance for the functioning and development of the University. The visit to Bijelo Polje is part of the continuous activities of the Board of Directors of the University of Montenegro aimed at better understanding the needs of organizational units,” stated the UCG.
