The famous characters of “The Muppets” will join the “Marvel” universe in a new comic project that is being described as “iconic”.
In a special one-issue edition to mark the 50th anniversary of The Muppet Show, characters like Kermit, Miss Piggy and Fozzie Bear will join superheroes like Spider-Man, Wolverine and Black Panther in shared adventures, says the official Marvel.com website

The comic’s main story, titled The Muppet Take The Marvel Universe #1, begins with the kidnapping of Rowlf the Dog by the character Mojo, who attempts to create his own streaming platform.
This forces the Muppets and Marvel’s superheroes to join forces to save him.
The project was written by a group of well-known authors of the comics industry, while the illustrations were made by some well-known “Marvel” artists.
The writer, illustrator and journalist, Chip Zdarsky has said that the union of the two worlds brings a great creative responsibility and that working with these characters has been a special experience.
On the other hand, representatives of “The Muppets Studio” have stated that the collaboration with “Marvel Comics” is a new and creative way to bring the humor and energy of the Muppets to another large universe of pop culture.
The film project is expected to be released on September 23 and is now available for pre-order.
