Richland Park Seventh-day Adventist Primary School has announced a historic milestone as student-athlete Mateo Bailey etched his name into the school’s legacy by breaking a long-standing record at the recent Inter-Primary School Athletic Championship.
On March 25, Mateo Bailey delivered an outstanding performance in the Boys’ 4-6 80-metre dash, clocking an impressive time of 13.06 seconds, securing a new record.
According to the official results, this achievement places him among the top young athletes in the competition.
This remarkable accomplishment is even more significant, as it comes in only the third year that Richland Park SDA Primary has participated in the competition, throughout its 80-year history. Despite being relatively new to the event, the school has demonstrated consistent growth and excellence in athletics.
Principal and staff have expressed immense pride in Bailey’s achievement, highlighting his discipline and talent in representing his school with excellence. His success serves as an inspiration to his peers and a testament to the school’s dedication to developing well-rounded students.
“This is a proud moment for our school community. Mateo’s achievement shows what is possible with God and hard work. We look forward to many more successes in the years ahead,” a press release said.
