Thousands of people gathered today for the 19th day of protests against the Rama government.
Several protesters spoke in front of the makeshift podium. One of them compared this protest with that of the students of 2018.
He added that Rama sells Albania and its lands whenever he needs foreigners to find support for his power.
Protester: Do you know that Albania did not enter the World Cup this year because God had reserved a better World Cup for the Albanians, that of the Albanian nation. Today we are the headline of all the world media. We are not ashamed of that square that follows the world. We are in this square that the whole world broadcasts. In 1990, our parents as former students lied to us that they brought us democracy. We are neocommunism. I don’t see any difference. In 2018, they tried to give Albanians hope with a big revolution. But we had many traitors among us. We were attacked, there was still hope, there are still many young people who shed many tears when the protests died down.
I tell you come back we left a mission halfway, let’s finish it today. Here we give hope to Albanians. I know there are many traitors among us, but we will create our own catharsis. We will expel the traitors among us. Let’s save Albania from traitors and bring hope to Albanians. You have noticed how Rama behaves by calling us fascists. He changes his passport whenever he needs to and sells this land to someone. Just as he changed his religion every time he wanted to do business with Albania.
