At the head office of “Armenia Electric Networks” PB Company, on the initiative of the temporary manager of the company, Romanos Petrosyan, an extended working discussion was held, which was attended by Yeghiazar Vardanyan, the chairman of the RA Urban Planning Committee, representatives of the Armenian Association of Developers and Builders’ Union, as well as the heads of the main directorates of the EB Company.
He informs about it “Armenpress”citing the message issued by the Department of Public and Corporate Relations of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences.
The key topic of the discussion was the decision made yesterday by the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission, which liberalizes the process of connecting the consumption systems with 6(10) kV voltage, as well as the newly constructed apartment buildings and neighborhoods under construction, to the distribution network.
In his speech, the interim manager particularly noted that this reform adopted by the RA PSC is the result of effective cooperation in such a format, because its necessity was discussed months ago during the working discussion, and the necessity of this change was properly justified by the businessmen of the sector.
“Under the conditions of the previous regulations, the cable works necessary for the mentioned connections were carried out by “Electrical Networks of Armenia” CJSC, outsourcing to other organizations, which in itself complicated the process. According to the new regulation, the process of connecting the energy systems to the distribution network will be carried out based on the technical conditions provided by the ENE, with the applicant’s or developer’s own funds and resources. As a result, the connection process will become simpler and more flexible, contributing to the implementation of the works of connecting the energy systems of multi-apartment buildings to the distribution network in reasonable terms, as well as with more economically beneficial conditions for the latter,” the message states.
During the discussion, new approaches to the provision of technical conditions, the procedure for handing over the constructed distribution network to the Company, as well as the possibilities of simplifying administrative procedures in the sector and improving the investment environment were also discussed.
Romanos Petrosyan particularly emphasized the importance of discussions in this format, noting that they contribute to the joint discussion of sectoral problems, the development of effective solutions and the sustainable development of the electricity supply system.
The participants of the meeting welcomed the initiative, highlighting the continuous cooperation between state bodies, developers and representatives of the energy system, in favor of the activation of economic indicators in the sector. According to the participants, the new regulations are an important step towards the modernization of the sector, contributing to the simplification of connection processes, the more effective implementation of investment programs and the improvement of economic processes in the construction sector.
