Mental health promotion
Positive parenting: The province of Azilal is strengthening its commitment to the well-being of families and child protection. A tripartite agreement was signed on Monday June 22, 2026, between the Provincial Human Development Committee, the National Observatory for the Rights of the Child and the provincial delegation of health and social protection, with the objective of promoting mental health and disseminating the principles of positive parenting within communities.
As part of the implementation of the projects of the National Initiative for Human Development (INDH) for the year 2026, the meeting room of the general secretariat of the province of Azilal hosted the signing ceremony of a tripartite partnership agreement between the Provincial Committee for Human Development of Azilal, represented by the governor of the province in his capacity as president of the committee, the National Observatory for the Rights of the Child, represented by its general secretary, as well as the provincial delegation of health and social protection of Azilal. This convention focuses on strengthening mental health and promoting positive parenting.
The ceremony took place in the presence of circle heads, the head of the Social Action Division of the provincial general secretariat, representatives of the National Observatory for the Rights of the Child, as well as heads of associations responsible for managing the community mediators system. In his speech, the governor of the province Hassan Zitouni underlined the importance of this partnership, which he described as an essential lever for the development of human capital. He recalled that living conditions and state of health have a direct impact on physical growth as well as the cognitive, social and psychological development of individuals.
The governor also highlighted the main directions of the third phase of the National Initiative for Human Development, focused on strengthening human capital and developing the capacities of beneficiaries. On this occasion, he presented the main projects carried out in this context, in particular those dedicated to improving the health of mothers and children.
For her part, the secretary general of the National Observatory for the Rights of the Child insisted on the determining role that this partnership will play at the provincial level, in particular through the strengthening of mental health and the dissemination of positive behaviors within families. A presentation by a representative of the Observatory highlighted the context, objectives and expected results of this initiative.
The work of this meeting ended with the official signing of the partnership agreement relating to the strengthening of mental health and the promotion of positive parenting. This mainly aims to disseminate good practices and intensify awareness campaigns through the network of community mediators.
