The acting president, Albulena Haxhiu, has expressed solidarity with the people of the United States of America after the attack that took place at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Washington.
In her reaction, Haxhiu emphasized that it is a relief that President Donald Trump and others who were present are out of danger, while she wished the injured official a full recovery.
“After the disturbing attack at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, we are with the American people. We are relieved that President Trump, the First Lady and all those present are safe. We wish the injured official a full recovery and stand by the United States at this difficult time,” she said in her reaction.
She added that the Republic of Kosovo condemns any act of violence and stands by the United States of America, calling it its strategic partner and ally.
