An extreme fire risk is identified in the provinces of Fahs-Anjra, Larache, Ouezzane, Tanger-Assilah, Meknes, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Sefrou, Taounate, Taza, Kénitra, Sidi Kacem, Sidi Slimane, Khémisset, Rabat, Salé, Skhirate-Témara, Essaouira, Agadir-Ida-Ou-Tanane and Taroudant.
A high risk concerns the provinces ofAl Hoceima, Chefchaouen, Tétouan, M’Diq-Fnideq, Berkane, Nador, Azilal, Béni Mellal, Khénifra, Benslimane, Casablanca and Mohammadia.
Furthermore, an average risk is recorded in the provinces of Driouch, Jerada, Oujda-Angad, Taourirt and Guercif.
To this end, theANEF calls on all forest residents, summer visitors, visitors as well as professionals operating in forest environments to exercise the greatest vigilance, taking all necessary precautions to avoid outbreaks of forest fires.
The Agency also invites citizens to quickly alert local authorities in the event of observing smoke or suspicious behavior.
