Head of the Audit Bureau Khaled Shakshak has held talks with senior UN officials on strengthening governance, anti-corruption efforts and institutional reform.
The meeting with UNSMIL representatives, including Stephanie Koury and Ulrika Richardson, focused on enhancing oversight, boosting transparency and benefiting from international technical support, particularly in implementing the UN Convention against Corruption.
Both sides also reviewed progress in the structured dialogue process, with discussions covering economic reform, priority files and next steps to improve oversight mechanisms and cooperation with international partners.
The Audit Bureau reaffirmed its commitment to combating corruption, protecting public funds and improving the management of state resources.
