It’s quite stressful. Preparation work is in progress, and in addition, I was engaged in some other, also important projects. Honestly, I feel like I’m missing a few more hours every day – if for no other reason, then at least to catch some time for myself.
For the next month and a half, one of the main mantras is that sleep is an overrated thing. Luckily, I’m a heavy coffee drinker, I love both the smell and the taste of coffee, so my BFF will definitely come in handy. There is no set schedule, I adapt from day to day, and that will continue when the championship starts.
I think that in Petar Sučić, Martin Baturina and Luka Vušković, we have three great young players who could do great things in this championship.
I love Anta Budimir and Dominik Livaković. Two honest, hard-working guys who do great things for our national team. As a rule, Livi is masterful when he is in goal for the national team, and we will need him in such an edition now. Ante and Mario are constantly underestimated, and they are great players and even better people.
Hardly anything can be compared to that match against Brazil in Qatar – although Pašalić’s goal against Spain at Euro 2024 is also a fierce competition. These are the moments when your emotions simply “overcome” you, when some things come out of you that you didn’t even know existed. Total madness!
They are… Tena is still in that childish way. It is precisely noticed how he brings some euphoria and rapture from kindergarten, suddenly starts singing fan songs. Luka is already following it more seriously, he, for example, gets very annoyed if ours doesn’t go well, he really gets carried away.
They look, they look… Tena is actually the most, although she actually has the most fun when dad is in a suit or with a tie, so she says how beautiful her dad is!
No one and nothing can prepare you for the role of a parent. It is the most beautiful and wonderful, but at the same time the most terrifying experience that you can experience and live. The first time I saw my Luka and held him in my hands, I knew exactly that it was – that! You experience fear and anger and nervousness with them, but the love you feel for them and receive from them cannot be described, you have to feel it yourself.
Well, I don’t think I’m overly strict, and yet you try so that children have and know some boundaries and rules. I think it’s not easy for us parents in today’s world. As far as this “rolling” is concerned, Tena is the world champion. A classic father and daughter story!
From today’s perspective, I realize how nice we had it. It is a real pity that children, while they are children, cannot understand how beautiful they are. Basically, kids, don’t ever grow up!
