Graduates across Croatia today mark the last day of classes, with traditional gatherings and celebrations in numerous cities. In Split, it was celebrated from the morning hours with songs, torches and banners, marking the end of an important period of life. As it usually happens, some of the graduates point out the relief after finishing school, while the emotions of others are divided because of parting with the class and professors.
At the same time, the event “Goodbye to School 2026” is being held in Zvončac Park, organized by the City of Split, intended for all high school graduates from the city area. A music and entertainment program is scheduled there until 8 p.m., and participants will be provided with food and water. After the day’s celebration, most graduates plan evening get-togethers and organized celebrations with their classes. After today’s farewell to the school desks, the students will soon be waiting for the state graduation and college admissions. We went to Spinut and talked to the graduates, and the most common sentence we heard was “We’re finally done!” and the famous “Later we’ll think about the future, tonight let’s celebrate a little and have fun until the end!”.
Most of them know what they want to write down, while others are relatively flexible.
– I plan to enroll in architecture, if not, construction – the high school graduate told us.
– We will enroll in college, we don’t know what, but we will fall in – the friends agreed.
– I will enroll in the Faculty of Law here in Split. So, if you need help and do some s****, just call – the young man told us without thinking.
Some turned to religion.
– I would like to enroll in radiology, God willing.
Nothing can go without “Slobodna”, including this year’s shirt.
– The t-shirts were inspired by these bombs that they said they were going to throw. In addition, our classroom was bombed, and three people fell on us, so as three are missing, 18 survived.
See what they told us in the attached video.
