The National Bureau of Investigation has exercised control in the villa of businessman Samir Mane, as well as in the premises of his office, by decision of GJKKO. Trusted sources indicate that the businessman’s mobile phone was also seized during the search.
The controls follow SPAK’s mega-operation, which hit three suspected criminal groups involved in international cocaine trafficking and money laundering. At the center of the investigations are the groups led by Artur Shehu, Artur alias Luciano Koceku and Alfredo Hamzai.
According to the investigation file, the money gained from drug trafficking was allegedly invested in the construction sector through businessmen Ilir Shtufi and Orest Sota. Investigations have also identified suspected investments in the Green Coast project in Palasa, owned by Samir Manes.
Manes’ name is mentioned in SPAK’s investigative materials. The sources confirm that during the search, equipment and materials that could serve the investigation were seized, while the businessman’s mobile phone was taken for further verification. So far there is no public reaction from Samir Mane regarding this development.
