    World Cup 2026…a global celebration

The world’s eyes are turning to the United States of America, Mexico and Canada, which will host the 2026 World Cup, in an exceptional edition awaited by millions of football fans around the world.

As the starting whistle blows, dreams and ambitions are renewed, and the fans live in a state of passion and anticipation to follow the largest and most popular sporting event in the world.

Because football is the first popular game, it has a special taste for its fans, as it goes beyond the boundaries of stadiums to become a part of people’s daily lives. It is difficult to find a society in which football does not have a special status or an individual who does not follow its news, stars and tournaments. Therefore, it was and will remain a universal language that everyone understands, regardless of their different cultures, races, and languages.

The World Cup remains the most important occasion that football fans await once every four years, and once the awaited date arrives, the details of daily life change for many. Families gather in homes, cafes and gathering places are crowded with fans, and millions follow the matches moment by moment, enjoying the atmosphere of competition and excitement that is only repeated in this global football celebration.

The 2026 edition will be an event that will remain firmly rooted in the conscience and engraved in the memory, not only because it is being held for the first time in three different countries, but also because of the preparations that preceded it and the carnival atmosphere that reflected the extent of the efforts made to make the tournament a success.

This edition also reflects an advanced future vision for the global sports industry, and the spread, influence and ability of football to bring people together under the banner of fair competition. Hence, it was not surprising that this event received widespread attention in the host countries, which harnessed all their capabilities to present an exceptional version worthy of the history and status of the tournament.

Also, the coverage of the World Cup provided by Al-Riyadh newspaper, which we have followed over the past few days and is still continuing, reflects the amount of media interest in this global football event.
