The second session of the board of directors of the GST of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima was chaired by Minister of Health Amine Tehraoui.
Results : The activity report of the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima Territorial Health Group reveals an improvement in several indicators relating to healthcare services. Medical consultations increased by 10.94%, complete hospitalization by 6.99%, scheduled surgical interventions by approximately 35%, emergency surgery by more than 13%, and laboratory analyzes by 24.57%.
The Minister of Health and Social Protection, Amine Tehraoui, chaired, Monday June 8, 2026, the second session of the board of directors of the Territorial Health Group of Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima, in the presence of Younes Tazi, wali of the Tangier-Tétouan-Al Hoceima region, governor of the prefecture of Tangier-Assilah, Omar Moro, president of the regional council, the director general of the Health Group territorial, as well as members of the board of directors. The work of this session focused on the Group’s activity report, the annual account for the year 2025, the action program and the partnership and cooperation agreements, and several questions related to the functioning of the Group. The report presented shows a progressive improvement in several indicators relating to healthcare provision.
Medical consultations increased by 10.94%, complete hospitalization by 6.99%, scheduled surgical interventions by approximately 35%, emergency surgery by more than 13%, and laboratory analyzes by 24.57%. The minister stressed that these first results demonstrate a gradual evolution in the mode of health governance at the regional level. He noted that the Territorial Health Group now constitutes an institutional and operational reality, called upon to bring health decisions closer to the citizen and to strengthen the region’s capacity in terms of planning, coordination and intervention. Mr. Tehraoui insisted on the importance of optimal use of resources, clarification of responsibilities and better coordination between the different levels of care, in order to guarantee a smoother, more efficient and more equitable care pathway.
For his part, the Director General presented the activity report as well as his action program, with emphasis on strengthening daily coordination between health establishments, improving the orientation of resources and monitoring the care pathway of users within the region. The work also highlighted the importance of digital transformation in supporting this new governance model, in particular through the establishment of a unified and integrated information system, allowing better monitoring of the care pathway, easier access to health services and decision-making based on reliable and up-to-date data.
