Today, the people of the Qarn al-Assad area in Al-Arsh District, Al-Bayda Governorate, organized the sixteenth annual mass wedding for 82 brides and grooms.
At the celebration, the Governor of Al-Bayda, Abdullah Idris, congratulated the newlyweds on their wedding and completing half of their religion… pointing out that the increase of such mass weddings in Al-Arsh District in more than one village is a reflection of the community awareness among the people of the District, which has become a model in organizing mass weddings.
He pointed out that mass weddings are a means of facilitating the marriage of young people, reducing expenses, and reducing extravagance, as well as helping young people stabilize their marital lives, strengthening social ties, and instilling a spirit of community solidarity. He praised the efforts of the members of the organizing committee in the Qarn al-Assad area for mass weddings in Al-Arsh in holding weddings and social events annually.
At the celebration, which was attended by Deputy Governor Nasser Al-Ajji and Director of Al-Arsh District, Maher Al-Tiri, the head of the group wedding organizing committee, Tawfiq Al-Jaridi, pointed out the role of such group weddings in reviving the spirit of social solidarity among members of society and taking the hand of young people and helping them complete half of their religion.
The group wedding was considered an important social and humanitarian occasion that enhances the spirit of cooperation and solidarity among members of society and contributes to alleviating the financial burdens on young people about to get married.
