Today, the branch of the Yemeni Authority for Standardization, Metrology and Quality Control in Taiz Governorate carried out a field trip to monitor local factories as part of its periodic plan to ensure the extent of compliance with specifications and improve the quality of national products.
The Director of the Authority’s branch in the governorate, Riyad Al-Bukhaiti, explained that the field visit is to verify the factories’ compliance with production requirements in accordance with the approved standard specifications, and to ensure that the products conform to quality standards by drawing random samples from the production lines and subjecting them to precise laboratory tests in the Authority’s laboratories.
He pointed out that the inspection teams worked to review the calibration of scales and measuring tools in factories, carried out periodic inspections of various production facilities, and wrote arrest reports of the violations that were monitored in preparation for completing legal procedures against violators.
Al-Bukhaiti stressed that the reduction comes within the framework of the authority’s endeavor to enhance the competitiveness of local products and develop their quality, by providing technical consultations and support to factories, in order to achieve compliance with standard specifications and contribute to supporting the national economy and meeting the needs of consumers with high efficiency.
