Vladimir Zelensky said this in a statement to the press after a meeting in Gabala with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.
According to Zelensky, Ukraine is ready to resume the trilateral negotiation format.
– We informed the President of Azerbaijan that we are ready for trilateral negotiations. Such meetings have already taken place in Turkey, then in Switzerland with the participation of American partners. Of course, if Russia is ready for diplomacy, we are ready to hold such negotiations in Azerbaijan in the near future,” he noted.
Discussing bilateral relations, the President of Azerbaijan noted the expansion of cooperation in various fields, including energy, trade and industry. According to him, trade turnover between the countries has already exceeded $500 million and has the potential for further growth. The prospects for military-technical cooperation and joint production were also discussed.
Zelensky thanked Azerbaijan for its humanitarian assistance to Ukraine and support for Ukrainian children. He announced the signing of six documents following the negotiations and emphasized the importance of cooperation in the field of security and defense industry.
