The constitutional consolidation of ecology is of great importance in the sustainable development of Kazakhstan. This was stated by Deputy of the Mazhilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Arman Kalykov at a conference dedicated to the impact of ecology on the health of the nation, a correspondent of the Kazinform agency reports.
According to him, environmental issues today are directly related to the health of the nation and quality of life. In this regard, Parliament is forming a modern environmental agenda and improving legislation. He paid special attention to the constitutional consolidation of these norms.
“The Constitution is not just a basic law, but the foundation of state policy, including the field of environmental protection,” he noted.
The deputy recalled the adoption of the new Environmental Code and initiatives to develop “green” energy, reduce pollution and waste management.
“We must ensure a balance between economic development and nature conservation,” Arman Kalykov emphasized.
He also noted the importance of shared responsibility.
“No law will work without a conscious attitude towards the environment on the part of each of us,” said the deputy.
