Mutual visits by the deputy prime ministers of Armenia and Azerbaijan are historical events, says Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan. — A very important event happened. I situate the visits of the two countries’ deputy prime ministers within the institutional logic of the historic peace process. I am very glad that we have reached this milestone,” Pashinyan said.
According to him, relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan should constantly improve, and peace should gradually strengthen.
“It is necessary to establish normal relations, and in the long term, in a strategic sense, good neighborly relations,” the Prime Minister noted.
On April 9, 2026, the 13th meeting of the commissions on demarcation of the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan was held, co-chaired by Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan and Deputy Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Shahin Mustafayev. The previous similar meeting of the commissions was also held in Azerbaijan under their co-chairmanship.
