The TOUTATIS short-range roving munition, intended for high-intensity conflicts, provides the armed forces with a new operational advantage. Because of its exceptional versatility, infantry units can easily use it in the field, and it can be launched from a variety of platforms, including combat vehicles, aircraft and ships. TOUTATIS is resistant to electromagnetic interference and equipped with a warhead that adapts to the specifics of the mission. It successfully neutralizes targets such as combat vehicles, while human operators still make key decisions during control. The system can also operate within a swarm of unmanned aerial vehicles, and its flexible design enables rapid adaptation to changing battlefield requirements.

At the Eurosatory fair, Renault Group and Thales also presented 4 TROOP – an innovative tactical vehicle designed for the increasingly complex operational requirements of the ground forces. The vehicle integrates drones, sensors, secure hybrid communications and AI-based decision support tools, significantly enhancing the operational capabilities of the armed forces.
It is a prototype based on Renault’s VCMR (Vehicle de Combat Multi-Roles) platform, which combines automotive industrial production with advanced military communication and digital systems. The companies point out that the aim of the project is to develop a new generation of multipurpose military vehicles that can be produced quickly, in large series and at lower costs than traditional military platforms. In practice, 4 TROOP functions as a mobile command center that can be adapted to different missions – from reconnaissance and troop coordination to logistical support, protection of sensitive locations and surveillance of the area of operation.
