The Board of Directors of the National Contact Center held its second meeting for the year 2026, chaired by Dr. Ramzan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Minister of Information and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the National Contact Center.
During the meeting, the Minister of Information praised the national role of government communication in preserving national memory and documenting pivotal historical achievements and milestones, in addition to enhancing public awareness of the deep-rooted connotations and meanings it carries, stressing that the issuance of Royal Order No. (20) of 2026 establishing and forming a committee to document the epic of national steadfastness embodies the national vision aimed at preserving the national heritage and documenting the honorable positions taken by the people of the Kingdom of Bahrain, in a way that enhances the values of loyalty, belonging and national solidarity. It preserves the documented national facts for future generations, and consolidates the immortal national lessons and high meanings of loyalty and national responsibility that that stage holds.
In this context, the Minister of Information stressed that consolidating the effectiveness of the national communication system and enhancing its readiness to keep pace with developments and anticipate the features of the next stage represent a fundamental pillar for supporting the goals of the comprehensive development process and consolidating the advanced position that the Kingdom of Bahrain holds regionally and internationally. He pointed out that investing in national competencies, qualifying and empowering them, and refining their professional and cognitive capabilities constitutes a strategic priority to continue developing the communication sector and enhancing its competitiveness, which contributes to highlighting the Kingdom’s rich talents. Civilizational achievements and promising opportunities, and supporting its development path towards broader horizons of progress and prosperity.
The Council also reviewed the capacity building program for the year 2026, which aims to continue developing and qualifying national competencies working in the field of government communication, and enhancing their professional and cognitive readiness to keep pace with the rapid transformations in the media and communication sector, which contributes to raising the efficiency of institutional performance, consolidating the best professional practices, and developing the government communication system.
The Council reviewed a number of topics on the agenda, and reviewed the most relevant developments that support the achievement of the desired goals and aspirations.
