Bahraini women have made distinguished achievements and contributions to diplomatic work
Praise the efforts of the Ministry of Interior and all security agencies in combating drugs and raising community awareness
Deputy Prime Minister Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Khalifa chaired the regular weekly meeting of the Council of Ministers, which was held yesterday at Gudaibiya Palace.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Council of Ministers praised the Royal Order issued by His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, King of the country, to establish and form a committee documenting the epic of national steadfastness, which is responsible for monitoring and documenting the brutal Iranian attacks faced by the Kingdom of Bahrain, stressing that the Royal Order will strengthen the concept of institutional national memory and establish a documented national narrative that reflects the unity of leadership and people in the face of challenges.
The Council of Ministers also welcomed the announcement of the Asian Horse Racing Federation to raise the classification of the Bahrain International Horse Racing Cup to the first international level (Group1), praising the efforts of His Highness Sheikh Isa bin Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Minister of the Prime Minister’s Court and Chairman of the Supreme Authority of the Rashid Equestrian and Horse Racing Club, which contributed to achieving this achievement that strengthens the Kingdom of Bahrain’s position in equestrian sports and horse racing.
The Council then noted the distinguished achievements and contributions made by Bahraini women in diplomatic work, on the occasion of International Women’s Day in Diplomatic Work.
The Council of Ministers also referred to the efforts made by the Kingdom of Bahrain in combating drugs, praising the efforts of the Ministry of Interior and all security agencies and concerned authorities in adopting initiatives that contribute to community awareness of their dangers and protection from them, on the occasion of the International Day to Combat Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking.
The Council of Ministers then followed up on the measures taken by the ministries and government agencies concerned with the Ashura season, in order to facilitate all requirements that ensure the success of the season.
After that, the Council considered a number of memorandums submitted to it by ministerial committees and ministers, and agreed to the following:
Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Government of the Republic of Seychelles regarding cooperation in the field of fisheries and aquaculture.
Memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Agriculture and the Gulf University.
Memorandum of understanding between the Institute of Public Administration and the National Institution for Human Rights.
The government responded to a number of proposals willingly submitted by the House of Representatives.
The Council also reviewed the following:
Updates on the implementation of the priorities of the Ministry of Works within the government program (2023-2026).
Court performance and implementation statistics during the years 2024 and 2025.

Results of the 167th session meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council, and the third ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue between the Gulf Cooperation Council and Canada.
Results of the twenty-ninth extraordinary meeting of the Committee of Ministers of Transport and Communications of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
Outcomes of the High-Level Meeting of African Heads of State and Government and Partners on the Ebola Virus (Bundibugyo Virus) Outbreak.
