The offer of electric cars in the car market of Uzbekistan is increasing. In the last 6 months, Lacetti and Cobalt prices have either remained unchanged or decreased month-over-month. Malibu and Tracker prices are volatile.
Changes in the prices of cars on the secondary market by experts of the Institute of Macroeconomic and Territorial Studies (MHTI) was analyzed.
It is noted that in June 2024, the share of electric cars in total offers was 5.4 percent, and in April 2026, this figure reached 10 percent. The share of domestic cars decreased from 53.7 percent to 47 percent.
In general, the number of offers in April decreased compared to March. The total number of advertisements according to the cleaned data was 13.5 thousand. This is 18.6 percent less than in March, but 59.6 percent more than in the same period last year.
Prices of domestic popular cars remain stable. The low-drive Cobalt’s median price was unchanged at $12,900, while the Onix rose to $14,800. At the same time, a decrease was observed in some Damas, Labo and Nexia models.
In the segment of foreign cars, the price dynamics is different. Some of the less used Chery and Kia models saw a decrease, while the high and moderately used luxury segment Carnival and Sorento models increased in price.
In the segment of electric cars, the price of BYD Seagull is 15.5-16 thousand dollars, the price of Yuan Up is 20-21.5 thousand dollars, and the price of Chazor is around 20.5-22 thousand dollars.
Looking back over the last 6 months, Lacetti and Cobalt prices have either remained unchanged or decreased month-over-month. Malibu and Tracker prices are volatile.
