On Monday, one of the fastest growing Croatian investment companies, Bosqar Invest, started raising fresh capital through a public offer of shares, and will allow the purchase within the framework of the offer for inside owners also to the employees of the group, including Slovenian workers. If the subscription of shares is successful, this could be one of the largest recapitalizations in Croatia to date. Bosqar will use the collected money to take over the food company PIK Vrbovec, to further expand and strengthen its business and strengthen its market position.
Bosqar Invest, which is more than half-owned by Croatian businessman Stjepan Orešković and his wife Manica Pirc Orešković, has become an important player in the food industry in the region in recent years. Bosqar is the owner of the bakery company Mlinar and, from 2024, also of the Slovenian Panvita, and recently he also concluded a contract with Fortenova for the takeover of the meat processing company PIK Vrbovec, which is supposed to be financed with the money collected from the recapitalization
