The thermal energy tariff of SIA “Ventspils siltums” will increase by 10.3% from June 1 – to 73.76 euros per megawatt hour (MWh) without value added tax (VAT), according to the decision published by the Public Service Regulatory Commission (PSRK) in the official publication “Latvijas výstnesis”.
Among them, the thermal energy production tariff will increase by 10.7% and will be 55.77 euros per MWh, the thermal energy transmission and distribution tariff will decrease by 2.7% and will be 17.05 euros per MWh, and the thermal energy trade tariff will increase by 10.8% and will be 1.03 euros per MWh. At the same time, the component of unexpected revenues will decrease to EUR 0.09 per MWh.
The relevant tariffs will be valid from June 1, 2026 to May 31, 2027, while from June 1, 2027, the final tariff for “Ventspils heat” thermal energy will reach 73.85 euros per MWh.
LETA already announced that last year the turnover of “Ventspils heat” was 9.602 million euros, which is 8.3% less than in 2024, but the company’s profit increased by 8.4% – up to 1.475 million euros.
The company was registered in 1991, and its share capital is EUR 5.341 million. The company belongs to Ventspils for the municipality.
