It has already been reported that the gunman who tried to break into the Hilton hotel hall during the annual dinner of the White House Correspondents’ Association on Saturday is thought to have wanted to attack members of the administration of US President Donald Trump, Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche announced on Sunday.
Law enforcement officials who examined the detainee’s electronic devices determined that his target was believed to be members of the Trump administration who attended the dinner, including, most likely, the president himself, the acting attorney general added.
