The decision was made at a meeting of the OCA Executive Committee held as part of the VI Asian Beach Games 2026 in Sanya (China).
Kudret Shamiev will oversee the preparation and holding of the Winter Asian Games 2029, as well as ensure interaction with the relevant structures of the OCA on the organization of the Games in Almaty.
We add that the functionary is the president of the Kazakhstan Taekwondo Federation (WT), a member of the Executive Committee of the National Olympic Committee of Kazakhstan and the head of the Altaic Taekwondo Union.
