Trump promised Pennsylvania supporters a price cut
US President Donald Trump on Tuesday assured voters in the state of Pennsylvania, considered one of the key political battlegrounds ahead of November’s midterm congressional elections, that they are doing better economically than they did two years ago, even though the necessities of life, including gasoline, are more expensive. He also said that prices will come down.
In a speech at the Mack truck factory in Macungie, Lehigh Valley, Trump said oil prices will come down and with it the cost of daily living. “With lower oil prices, other things will also become cheaper,” he assured, adding that thanks to his government, there are 32,000 more jobs in Pennsylvania than before, according to NBC television.
At the same time, he defended his trade policy of high tariffs, and earned applause, among other things, when, with a smile on his face, he loudly speculated that he might run again, even though the constitution prevents him from doing so. He also fueled conspiracy theories about voter fraud and repeatedly groaned loudly while expressing his opposition to transgender people in sports.
He also explained to those present how he invented a new name for the democrats, dumocrats, which is supposed to mean that they are dumb.
“I replaced the letter e with u. Very simple. Dumocrats. Very simple. I don’t know why this didn’t occur to me nine years ago. Dumocrats. I call them that because their politics are so stupid,” said the president, who currently enjoys a very low level of support among voters.
