ABU DHABI: UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan discussed on Tuesday with Kuwaiti Chief of the General Staff Lt Gen Khaled Al-Shuraian strengthening bilateral defense ties and regional security developments. The UAE defense ministry said the meeting took place within the framework of long-standing fraternal relations and defense cooperation between the two nations.
The meeting addressed several topics of mutual interest and reviewed aspects of military cooperation and coordination between the two sides, in addition to exchanging views on developments and issues related to military and security affairs. Both sides emphasized the vital importance of deepening military cooperation to serve shared interests and reinforce security and stability across the region.
Al-Shuraian and UAE Chief of Staff Lt Gen Issa Al-Mazrouei also held talks on Tuesday to spearhead joint military and defense cooperation. The discussions focused primarily on expanding defense cooperation frameworks, optimizing combat readiness and boosting operational efficiency across both armed forces. Both top military commanders emphasized the necessity of accelerating knowledge-sharing initiatives and exchanging tactical expertise to address shared security challenges and safeguard regional stability. – KUNA
