The Pentagon has accused those who claim that the head of the department, Pete Hegseth, under the guise of a prayer, quoted a fictional biblical passage that sounded in the movie “Pulp Fiction” for “spreading fake news”.
As “European Pravda” reports, Kh wrote Pentagon spokesman Sean Parnell.
A spokesman for the US Department of Defense assured that Hegseth read the CSAR prayer, which was used by the brave fighters of the Sandy 1 operational group, who conducted an operation to rescue an American pilot who was on the territory of Iran after a fighter jet crash.
“However, both the CSAR prayer and the dialogue from Pulp Fiction were a reflection of Ezekiel 25:17, as Minister Hegseth made clear in his speech. Anyone who claims that the minister misquoted Ezekiel 25:17 is spreading fake news and is ignorant of reality,” he added.
Hegseth was reported to have read a fictional Bible verse, which sounds in the movie “Pulp Fiction”.
It was an altered version of Ezekiel 25:17, which Samuel L. Jackson’s character says in the film just before shooting a man.
It’s also worth noting that, according to media reports, the Pentagon barred media photographers from briefings on the US-Israeli military conflict with Iran after they published photos of Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, which his staff admitted “unattractive“.
