A former child actor has filed a new lawsuit against rapper and producer Sean “Diddy” Combs, accusing him of sexually assaulting him during an event in the Hollywood Hills in 2007, reports CNN.
The lawsuit, filed this week in California, alleges that Combs invited the minor to a private room with the promise that they would discuss job opportunities and future roles in the entertainment industry.
According to court documents, Combs offered the young man an alcoholic drink and then performed inappropriate sexual acts on him. The plaintiff, who filed the lawsuit under the pseudonym “John YH Roe,” claims he was under the age of 18 at the time.
Combs’ representative has categorically denied the allegations.
“Mr. Combs unequivocally denies these allegations. The complaint describes events that allegedly occurred almost 20 years ago and is based solely on the plaintiff’s account. We are confident that the facts will show that these allegations are unfounded,” said his spokesman, Juda Engelmayer.
The lawsuit also includes the then agency which had engaged the actor in question, which is accused of not providing adequate protection for a minor and not ensuring the presence of an adult during the event.
This is not the first time Combs has faced such allegations. He is the subject of dozens of civil lawsuits from people who claim they were sexually abused over the years, some of them minors at the time of the alleged incidents.
Combs has consistently denied all allegations.
“Mr. Combs has never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone, male or female, adult or minor,” his lawyers previously stated.
Meanwhile, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is separately reviewing another alleged sexual assault case against Combs to decide whether there are grounds for criminal charges.
Combs is currently in prison and is appealing his federal conviction in New York on two charges related to transporting persons for the purpose of prostitution.
