The Criminal Council at the Basic Criminal Court – Skopje accepted the complaint of the suspect S.B. and accepted the offered guarantee, with which the measure of detention that was previously imposed on him was lifted, reported MIA.
The Basic Criminal Court informs that the Council acted on an appeal with an offered guarantee against the decision of a judge of a preliminary procedure of June 4, 2026, with which, on the proposal of the competent public prosecutor, the suspect was ordered to be detained for 30 days.
The accepted guarantee amounts to 55,000 euros in denars and will be deposited in favor of the Republic of Macedonia as security for the presence of the suspect in the further course of the procedure.
In addition, the Court imposed precautionary measures on him in accordance with the Law on Criminal Procedure, which include the temporary confiscation of the travel document and a ban on crossing the state border.
The Criminal Court emphasizes that if the suspect does not comply with the imposed measures, stricter measures may be imposed on him to ensure his presence in the proceedings.
