He thereby commented on the statement of European Commissioner Marta Kos about how Montenegro could reach the end of the negotiation process at this pace during the Irish presidency of the Council of the EU.
“The words of European Commissioner Marta Kos, that we have achieved more in the last 16 or 17 months than in the past 15 years, best illustrate the achieved progress. It is a strong confirmation that reforms, responsible work and political commitment have brought concrete results,” he pointed out.
As he added, the fact that Montenegro will close two more negotiation chapters today is particularly encouraging.
“This brings us even closer to the end of the negotiation process and the achievement of our strategic goal – full membership in the European Union. Montenegro shows that it knows where it is going, that it has the strength to implement changes and that it is ready for the next step. We continue resolutely, because the European future of Montenegro is no longer a distant goal – it is becoming a reality,” concluded Stojović.
