Sohar: The Ministry of Culture and Sports is conducting a 3-day programme codenamed “Tazeez” that seeks to consolidate public action undertaken by local teams in the governorates of North Al Batinah, Al Dakhiliyah, Al Buraimi and Al Wusta. The programme is funded by OQ Exploration and Production Company (OQEP).
Faris bin Mohammed Al Aufi, Director of the Youth Programmes Department at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, said that the programme includes a package of specialised development activities that focus on building the institutional capacities of community teams.
Al Aufi added that the programme includes workshops and innovation labs aim to boost the readiness of local teams in their bid to implement community initiatives and projects with a sustainable impact.
The programme deals with training on administrative and financial planning, designing and implementing community initiatives, building partnerships and enhancing institutional sustainability. The overall object is raise the efficiency of community action and develop its institutional practices, said Al Aufi.
