GRONINGEN — A shopkeeper on the Misguntweg in the Saramacca district was arrested by the police of the Groningen police station on Monday for violating the Economic Offenses Act and the Professions and Businesses Act. The police received information that the shopkeeper was offering alcoholic beverages for sale at the mentioned address without a valid license.
As a result, an investigation was initiated and the suspect was arrested. The found batch of alcoholic drinks was seized after consultation with the Public Prosecution Service. The investigation into this case continues and will be handled in accordance with legal requirements.
