The Achievement Learning Centre (ALC) has officially received its first set of devices through the Sustainable Technologies Partnership Program, marking a key transition from the preparation phase into active implementation.
First applying for the initiative in 2023, ALC joins a broader effort designed to assist Dominican schools in providing Chromebooks and
reliable internet access to their students.
Rather than relying indefinitely on external aid, the seven-year program empowers participating schools to gradually build financial independence, enabling them to self-fund and maintain necessary educational technology over time.
In addition to core digital hardware, ALC received specialized speech and language development tools donated by speech pathologist
Deborah Hollingsworth. These specialized clinical and educational resources will directly support targeted learning interventions for ALC
students.
ALC extends its heartfelt gratitude to the IT for Dominica Foundation and Mrs. Deborah Hollingsworth for their partnership and continued
support.
The school said this key milestone strengthens its commitment to establishing sustainable, high-impact educational programs that foster long-term student success and digital equity.
