Minister of National Education, Mohamed Saghir Saadawi.
The Minister of National Education, Mohamed Saghir Saadawi, confirmed that the baccalaureate exams for this year, 2026, took place in “tight and good” organizational conditions, according to Algerian television.
In a statement to the press, after his supervision today, Thursday, June 11, of the exit ceremony of the inspectors who prepared the baccalaureate subjects, after more than 40 days of isolation at the level of the National Office for Competitions and Examinations, Saadawi explained that the June 2026 baccalaureate session took place in “tight and good” organizational conditions.
When he touched on the correction process currently taking place, Saadawi also indicated that the Ministry of National Education will publish all developments related to the results on its official page, calling on students and their parents “not to be led by rumors circulating on social media sites during this stage.”
The Minister reassured those concerned that the correction process “is carried out according to standards that guarantee objectivity and fairness to all candidates.”
On the other hand, the Minister praised “the growing awareness demonstrated by students and teachers and their involvement in promoting the values of integrity, which enabled a significant decline in cases of cheating compared to previous years,” adding that this session “witnessed a very small number of isolated cheating attempts.”
According to him, this was achieved “thanks to the technical and organizational procedures and means adopted by the Ministry of National Education.” The Minister also urged the educational family, students, and parents to “mobilize to completely eliminate the phenomenon of cheating in exams.”
