Prime Minister Edi Rama had a heated debate in Vlora while talking about the expected investment with some residents of Zvërnec.
Some of them said that they have a share in the property where the investment will be made, while they are still in the courts without getting the right of ownership.
Rama admitted that the property was robbed and this is the problem, but not because of his fault, but because of the judicial system.
The resident expressed his concern, that without obtaining the right of ownership, the investor is ready to invest there.
Resident: I am one of the owners of Zvrnec. That property was stolen with forged documents.
Rama: Put the microphone down, because it seems you can’t hear me. Legal relations and property relations are based on papers. I’m not saying it’s not robbery. I have 1 hour to say this is the problem. You have a title.
Resident: Dear…
Rama: Why won’t you let me talk? I’m fine, let me talk. Because I’m fine. Let me explain it. You have a property title. What is constitutional and what is not is not decided by the party and the prime minister.
Resident: Who enforces the law? If it is not solved as a problem, we will be stuck in plots.
Rama: You will let me talk now. I took the microphone. You tell me you’re right, this happened in 2006, why don’t you let me explain that I don’t have the power to change 2006. But the court does.
