After the clash with the police and the breaking of the security cordon, thousands of citizens managed to move their protest for the fourth day in a row in front of the prime minister.
During the rally, a resident from Rrjolli addressed the protesters with a message to maintain calm and avoid provocations, stressing that the protest must remain peaceful and warned that they will continue to stand in the square until the resignation of Prime Minister Edi Rama.
“We have a big appeal for everyone, we achieved our goal and came here again before the prime minister. We will stay here again until he resigns. We are not violent like this government”she said.
She further emphasized that this is a people’s protest, there is no need for organizers and that among them there is no dialogue group for the prime minister, but dialogue is the square.
Resident of Rrjolli: It is several times that they want to divide this peaceful union of Albanians. It’s been several days that we are all together, every day more and more. There are mothers with children among you, do not provoke violence. We are not like them. Please everyone, do not fall prey to the provocation of violence. Politics has entered between us, patronageists have entered among us to sabotage this union of Albanians.
We have a big appeal for everyone, we achieved our goal and came here again in front of the prime minister. We will stay here again until he resigns. We are not violent like this government, with its oligarchs, with its mafia and with the state police, which many times it has turned into private guards of its own favors.
We must not become a party to violence today, we must show that we are all together in the square until this old political case goes away. It is clear that it is a people’s protest, there is no need for organizers. You are the ones who make the calls, the ones who make the decisions. We don’t have a dialogue group for the prime minister, dialogue is the square!
