The diplomat informed in detail about the results of the referendum held on March 15, 2026, where more than 87% of citizens supported the draft of the new Constitution.
“Kazakhstan today is undergoing a large-scale stage of political, institutional and socio-economic modernization aimed at creating a more sustainable, balanced and citizen-oriented model of state development,” he noted.
According to Shakhrat Nuryshev, Kazakhstan’s GDP has reached a historic level of $306 billion, securing the country among the 50 largest economies in the world. The President of the Republic of Kazakhstan has set the task of bringing this figure to $450 billion by 2029. The digital vector is also noted among development priorities, which is confirmed by the announcement of 2026 as the “Year of Artificial Intelligence.”

The head of the Kazakh diplomatic mission emphasized that Kazakhstan and China have built an unprecedentedly high level of eternal comprehensive strategic partnership, which continues to strengthen thanks to stable political dialogue and high dynamics of contacts at all levels.
The diplomat paid special attention to the results of last year. Significant events were mutual state visits by the leaders of the two countries and the holding of about 600 joint events, as well as an increase in trade turnover by 11% to $48.7 billion.

Separately, the Kazakh diplomat focused on issues of cooperation in the energy, transport, cultural, humanitarian and investment spheres, as well as on interregional cooperation and interaction within the framework of the “China – Central Asia” format.
In conclusion, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan focused on the event that started today in Astana Regional environmental summit. According to him, the participation of the Minister of Ecology and Environment of the People’s Republic of China Huang Rongqiu in the summit confirms the common goals of the two countries in the fight against climate challenges.
