The new version of the unofficial World Cup song from 2018 “We’re going to send our cruel dads to Moscow” has the same melody as the previous one, but Pidde P has changed the lyrics slightly, and the song is now called “We’re going to send our cruel dads to the USA”.
Also new in the latest version is that Sweden’s national team captain Graham Potter’s children participate in the song, as well as Victor Lindelöf’s, Ken Sema’s, and Kristoffer Nordfeldt’s children.
Pidde P, whose real name is Petter Hedwall, made the official song “Thank you Sweden” for the Winter Olympics in Italy in February 2026.
