A new electric version of an armored car has been developed in Turkey, combining low visibility, high mobility and adaptation to modern military tasks, reports the Kazinform agency’s own correspondent in Ankara.
The Turkish defense industry continues to develop its line of armored vehicles, focusing on new technological solutions. This year, at the international exhibition “SAHA 2026” in Istanbul, updated configurations of armored vehicles will be presented, including a fully electric model.
The new development is an electric version of a light armored vehicle designed for a wide range of tasks – from transportation and fire support to reconnaissance. The key features of the vehicle are its low thermal footprint, noiselessness and environmental friendliness, which makes the vehicle particularly effective in reconnaissance and surveillance operations.
According to the developers, the project is in the final testing stage. Assembly and basic tests are completed, long-distance testing and integration of additional equipment are ahead. All testing is expected to be completed by the end of the year.

The elimination of the internal combustion engine has reduced noise and heat emissions, as well as increased maneuverability due to the simpler and faster response of the electric powertrain. The vehicle’s power reserve is about 200 kilometers, depending on operating conditions.
One of the promising areas of application will be use as an advanced unmanned or remotely controlled vehicle for escorting convoys. Due to low visibility and the absence of a crew, the vehicle can perform reconnaissance and early threat detection functions.
In addition, the platform maintains high maneuverability and is equipped with modern protection systems, including means against chemical, biological and radiation threats, as well as automatic fire extinguishing systems.
Previously we wrotethat Turkey is experiencing a significant increase in the number of users and technology in the field of unmanned aerial vehicles. According to the General Directorate of Civil Aviation’s 2025 report, the number of active UAV pilot licenses has exceeded 1.6 million.
